This section continues with the previous part of Tactical Airsoft: Urban Combat Basic Movements P1, in case you have not read the first part, I suggest you go through it as well, in order to be able to build a better tactical view of what we are talking about. This time the Tactical Airsoft will be discussing about the following subjects:

- Crossing walls

- Use of Doorways

- Movement Between Positions

Crossing walls

This tactic of going over walls is used frequently during airsoft activities especially in our type of environment at White Rocks Complex. This tactical tip is not only usable for walls but can also be applied to other areas of the buildings such as windows. The main common mistake I notice during airsoft activities when it comes to this area of tactical "insertion" or movement is that the players user keep a very high profile thus it makes them a very easy target. The best way to go over a wall/window is to keep your upper body as low as possible and as close as possible to the wall in order to keep a very low profile and not attract a lot of attention.

Tactical airsoft suggest the following method displayed in the below figure to go through windows and over walls

Use of Doorways

Doorways should be avoided as much as possible, but if a doorway must be used be sure to get out of the line of sight of that doorway ASAP, staying in the doorway is not a very good position to be since it is usually one of the most places that you will attract attention and in the sights of enemies. When passing through a door way be sure to know your next movement and the selection of cover you will be taking and get out of the doorway as fast as possible and as low as possible (remember, most of the players aim head height) staying low should give you those extra milliseconds to take cover or to react to any situation.

We would also suggest if possible and in tactical airsoft most of the time it is possible to use covering fire or at least over-watch on a position you most likely think the enemy will be.

Movement Between Positions

This is a very important tactical airsoft aspects, because their are various points one must watch out when doing such movements. First of when moving between positions one of the most important aspects is to ensure that you never cross the covering fire area that is being provided by your teammates, running in the middle of the cover fire area is not really going to help!. The second important aspect is to ensure that you have the right cover once you arrive to destination, and that you are ready and set to provide the covering fire in order for the rest of the team members to move up to your position or other positions if necessary.

One of the most common errors from members that are providing covering fire is to fire from the top of a position, this is a very big mistake because it always the enemy to easily identify your location, remember that shooting from the top of your cover will make you a silhouette and the building/area behind you might not help at all, thus the best position to provide covering fire (in any shooting in general) is to use the side of the cover which provides a higher lower profile tactically especially in tactical airsoft were we have no flash when pulling the trigger.

Another common error is to shoot with your right from a left corner/cover, doing so will expose nearly completely your whole body and remove any cover you might have had, the best thing to do is to learn to use both shoulders/ hands in order to make full use of any cover you find and adapt to the situation.
