The day started early for the committee members, making sure that everything was clear for the big event of the day and also getting ready themselves to be able to guide members for parking, etc.
Unfortunately the day was not one of the best, the weather was quite bad with some showers during the event itself. yet no one was discouraged and everything went smooth. The game started on time yet unfortunately we did not have time to take the initial group photo since it takes a lot of time to make it happen.
The first mission was won by the CTU team, the mission objective was to "steal" a motherboard and capture the scientists within the building. whilst the objective of the PMC was to protect both items. The game took around 45 minutes with quite some intensive contacts and covering fire going through out the whole area while a couple of teams managed to get into the buildings and secure the items.
The second part of the mission was for the PMC to destroy a set of missiles and re-take the motherboard whilst saving the hostages was optional. The objective of the CTU was obviously to defend both items at the same time since the PMC was free to select which area they were going to attack first. At first the contacts were quite intensive and the first assault was made for the missiles which were protected by half the squad of the PMC. The CTU patrol had the first contact with the PMC and managed to hold them back whilst a runner had to go back to inform the second group what was happening due to radios stopped working. Eventually the PMC gave up on the missiles and tried to concentrate on the motherboard but the second group had more than enough time to settle up and work their way to lock every possible entrance.
The final mission was for the PMC to get to the extraction and defend it, which they had done well for quite a few minutes but eventually the intensive firepower held by the CTU members which included 5 LMG's gave them the advantage and managed to get enough members inside the building to clear the rest of the defending squad, once it was cleared a defensive perimeter was set using the LMG's and it was near to impossible for the PMC to get in.
At the end of the day including some usual airsoft problems everything went fine and no accidents happened, hopefully we will be doing another operation soon so stay tuned.
